“After completing my A-levels at Shrewsbury, I went to pursue a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics. This was a great program not only in terms of the depth it offered, but also the breadth of courses I got to choose from. I was able to meet people from a variety of backgrounds and form great friendships as well as learn from their experiences.
Upon completing my undergraduate studies, I began working in mergers and acquisitions at Barclays Capital, an investment bank in London. I was part of the Financial Institutions practice and was involved in many projects in the banking, insurance and asset management sectors completing various deals. However, after two years in the analyst programme I wanted to return to academia and pursue a graduate programme.
After much discussion and deliberation, I chose to come back to LSE, and decided to study for the MSc in Finance and Private Equity. I wanted to hone my skills in a more academic environment, and I found the experience very enriching, especially coming back into education after having worked, it offers a different perspective to your learning experience.
I completed my degree in the summer of 2014 and moved back to Thailand to join the family gemstones and jewellery business. I hope to be able to use all the various experiences I have had to my advantage is developing and growing our business, from a broad and international perspective.”
