Three of our alumni recently joined us for our Higher Education Student Event run by the Director of Higher Education Rachael Walker. Wonderful contributions were made to the event by our alumni Natty (Class of 2010), Mai (Class of 2012) & Taa (Class of 2009).
The former members of the school came to talk to the sixth form students about their university experiences, how to deal with the application process and also about working life. All three gave fantastic presentations and answered all the questions enthusiastically. The alumni talked to the Year 12 students giving them useful information and kindly offering advice based on their valuable experience. The event seemed to be thoroughly enjoyed by all involved.
Nida Wongphanlert (Natty) studied her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Bristol in Mechanical Engineering and is currently doing her Master’s degree at Cambridge University in Industrial Engineering. She talked about her experience in the U.K.
Sujinna Keunghakit (Mai) is presently studying vocal performance and opera at the Boston Conservatory in the U.S. and is in her junior year (3rd) of her degree there. Mai shared her experience about life in the U.S.
Pawarit Reungsuksilp (Taa) is working as a chemical engineer at Linde, a German company specialising in air separation. He travels often and all over Thailand with his job. Taa graduated from Imperial College London majoring in Chemical Engineering. He presented both about his life at university and also working at Linde. His presentation was made memorable by the fact that he never stopped smiling.
